Grzegorz Bibro, PhD, is a visual artist who employs glass and new media to explore the body within various conceptual frameworks. He graduated from the University of Fine Arts in Poznań [PL] in 2015, specializing in Multimedia Communication. Between 2020 and 2022, he studied Glass Art and Design at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław [PL]. During this period, he attended glass workshops led by prominent artists such as Anna Mlasowsky, Matthew Szosz, Erica Tada and Karin Forslund. His MFA artwork, presented during The Italian Glass Week in Venice, received also a special award at the Libenský Award in Prague [CZ]. He has further developed his practice through international programmes: glass art course at Pilchuck Glass School [USA_2024], internships at Starworks Glass [USA_2025] and Ajeto Glassworks [CZ_2026]. He has also exhibited internationally and participated in many artist residencies and art symposia. In 2026, he earned a Doctor of Arts degree for research on non-patriarchal masculinity in glass art.

I work with body and word, remaining close to myself in my artistic practice. I’m interested in my own /not my own body, created by me and forming me; relationship with the one who reproduced his body to create me (father) and with the one whose word became flesh (God) – so superficially and persistently restated today. I want to embody these relationships with my own system of values, far from the sense of shame and guilt typical for Polish Catholic church. For that I use various media such as glass objects, light installations, photographs and videos performance.
