The work originates in the search for God. It is a way of seeking personal contact with God without the mediation of the church and the rules imposed by religion. It is a response to the need to cultivate faith and the desire to create my own rituals and tools to deepen that faith. For me, it becomes a strong manifestation against the policies of the church, while simultaneously adopting a humble, kneeling posture exposed to God and public judgment. It is a piece about mental and physical exclusion from the church – according to old customs, sinners shall stay outside the temple. However, it also addresses contemporary society, which often associates praying outside the temple with begging.
