The starting point refers to the theme of contemporary male identity, which I explore through forms inspired by male genitalia. For me, this is the most primal shape as a man, beginning with a simple penis-like scribble in a notebook. At the same time, this is the most essential, full of meanings and historical references.
The pieces originate from the first series I made independently in a hotshop, providing insight into my approach to this new process of creation. I also bring it up to draw a parallel between the creative act and the sexual act, which are both forms of giving life. Additionally, the work reflects my perspective on glass as a medium—strong and fragile at the same time—making it ideal for discussing contemporary masculinity.
