BOILING FROG SYNDROME
obiect, neon, 2021
26 x 28 x 32 cm

The work explores the ‚boiling frog syndrome,’ a term coined by French philosopher Olivier Clark. Just as a frog in gradually heated water may not realize the danger until it’s too late, humans can find themselves stuck in worsening situations. The piece prompts reflection on our awareness of such circumstances – whether in relationships, employment, institutions, or society – questioning our ability to assess the degree of difficulty and determine if we still have the strength to act.

The work presented on the show DON’T LOOK BACK at Wroclaw Contemporary Museum (Wroclaw, PL) during Wroclaw Drawing Triennial 2022
